How do I tell the scanner to start a scan right now?

The scanner will start on its own when it has detected the computer has been sitting idle. If you think you might have an infection and don't want to wait, right click on the StopSign icon in the system tray at the bottom right hand corner of your desktop and click on "Scan Now." You can also double-click on the same icon and start the eAcceleration Software Station, then click on "Scan Now" button. Note that the Software Station will continue to run in the background.

You can also tell the scanner to scan a particular file by right clicking on that file and choosing "Scan for Viruses."
