| What if I'm still getting popups after installing StopSign?
If you are still receiving popup advertising after installing StopSign, you will want to check your settings to ensure you have Popup Blocker configured properly.
It is common for popup advertising programs to get installed on your computer and generate popups from within. These popups will often not be blocked by StopSign Popup Blocker. You may want to go to Start and open your Control Panel (it may be under Settings) and remove any programs you know you do not want.
Tip: Many adware programs disguise themselves as search assistants or toolbars. If you see anything with "search" or "toolbar" in the title, make sure this is a program you intentionally installed.
