Testimonials

Your program is by far the best i've used so far while using the net. It's giving me peace of mind knowing that your looking out for my computer and knowing that if I did get a serious virus that it will be taken care of in short order. Again thank you for a job well done, and I plan to recommend you to all my friends and family.   Robin Z.

What are alert levels and how do I change them?

The alert level determines how often Firewall displays alerts about network events:

  1. Never
  2. Only for defined events (default)
  3. For all events

An example of an alert is shown below.

To change the alert level:

  1. Select Options > Settings to display the Settings window.
  2. In the General tab, click the drop-down menu in the Alert Level field and select an option:
    • No Alerts
    • Show defined alerts
    • Show alerts for all events
  3. Set the time for the alert window timeout (how long the window is displayed before automatically closing). (Default: 30 seconds)
  4. Set the appearance of the alert window:
    • Remember last visited snap-in (displays alert windows at the same onscreen position as the previous alert window)
    • Always on top (puts the alert on top of open windows)
  5. Click OK to save your settings.
