Updating to Internet Explorer 7: How It Affects Our Software
We are seeing a lot of people having trouble with our software (eAcceleration / StopSign) after installing an update from Microsoft. It appears that it has to do with installing the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. Luckily, this problem seems to be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling our software.

If you have our software (eAccleration / StopSign) and have recently updated your system, you may find that our software seems to be malfunctioning. If this is so, we would like you to uninstall and reinstall our software. This will allow our software to remove any corrupted files or registry entries and put everything back where it should be once it is reinstalled.

To uninstall and reinstall our software, you can follow the instructions below. Please be aware that only paid members will be able to activate our software. Anybody can install our software under a trial mode, but only paid members will be able to clean any infections found and use our other products.

To uninstall and then reinstall eAcceleration Software, follow these instructions:

UNINSTALL PROCESS

First we will need to uninstall all eAcceleration products from your computer.


1) Open the Control Panel:

Windows 98/ME/2000: START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL
Windows XP: START > CONTROL PANEL

2) Double-click the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS button.

3) Select EACCELERATION.

4) Click the CHANGE/REMOVE button.

5) Select "Remove eAcceleration Products", then click NEXT.

6) Click the REMOVE ALL button at the bottom of the window, then click YES.

7) Click CLOSE in the uninstall completion dialog.

8) When prompted, restart your computer.



REINSTALL PROCESS:

1) Connect to the internet and click the link below:

http://home.stopsign.com/install.php

2) Click DOWNLOAD NOW.

3) Click YES (or OPEN) in the download confirmation box.

4) Accept the End User License Agreement, if prompted.

5) When prompted, type in your name and email address and confirm your email address.

NOTE: If you receive a message asking if you wish to REPLACE or UPGRADE - choose REPLACE to replace an existing license, choose UPGRADE to add a new computer to your account.

6) Click OK in the Thank You dialog that appears.

7) Follow the steps in the installation wizard if prompted. eAcceleration will download and install.

If you choose CUSTOM INSTALL: Select the eAcceleration products you wish to install.



Again, only paid members will be able to activate their software. Other users will only have our software in a Free Trial mode.
