I'm not sure my computer is cured. What should I do? |

You may want to run a scan in Safe Mode. Safe Mode is a Windows troubleshooting mode that loads only the essential software needed to run your system. Some viruses or spyware programs may try to reinstall themselves right after being removed. When you scan in Safe Mode, this ensures these programs are not running at the time of the scan and so cannot reinstall themselves.
When booting to Safe Mode, the screen images will look different than they usually do.
Please use the Directions Scan in Safe Mode:
- Restart your computer.
- While your computer is restarting, repeatedly press the F8 key.
- At the menu, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to start up in Safe Mode. Then press Enter.
- Start a scan. If you do not have a shortcut on your desktop to do so:
- Click Start > Programs > eAcceleration > eAcceleration Software Station.
- Click the red Scan Now button.
- When asked if you if you want to connect to the internet, choose No.
- When the scan finishes, restart your computer. It will start up normally.
- After restarting, run another scan. If any infections return, please email a copy of your scan results to our Support department. Your scan results page should automatically come up at the end of a scan.
- On the Scan Results page, go to Edit at the top and choose Select All.
- Go back to Edit and choose Copy.
- Open a new email
- In the body of the email, right-click and choose Paste. The scan report should now show in the body of your email message.
